A nice snack cake. Not exactly like a twinkie, but it's still really good.

These are very tasty, a little more dense than the "popular" brand.

    Very nearly there! Nostalgia HIT!

I was SUCH a twinkies & snoballs kid! I miss them sm! WOW!!!! These are damn near the twinkie-esque-ness that I miss! The bottoming of the products sticks a little to the packaging- i tried fridge-setting the product and bringing it completely down to room temperature. nothing seems to change it- it still sticks to the insert from the bottom of the spongecake. I think maybe rice paper or cornstarch or wax paper or something that would help to push back against the slight sticky. Outside of that, the initial taste has yet again a very slight fish-esque to it. I think it is maybe seaweed or similar but its definitely on them - i had 1 pack already & every one of them smelled & tasted the same. and stayed stuck to the bottoming package. but it was really good past thst first weird fishy bite.

The sponge cake is so good and the cream filling is so good. Perfect in the morning with coffee and these are really decent size cakes

    Whey less

The whey- less pillows would be PERFECT .. if they had more cream filling … the cream is what makes it not just a regular sponge cake . Please add more cream

    a good start

to be honest i was very excited to see these upon release because twinkies have been the one thing ive yearned for since i went vegan 10 years ago so i bought them immediately but it was kind of a let down. my mom who is not vegan said they were good but nothing like an actual twinkie and from my limited knowledge i agree. it kind of resembles cornbread in taste, it doesn’t have the spongy, fluffy, light texture of a twinkie (rather dense like cornbread), and had scarce filling. however im very happy to see the beginning stages of a twinkie replica and i look forward to trying subsequent versions as the recipe is improved :)
