Mint Creams (6 pieces)

My wife’s favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. Although she can’t eat dairy any longer, this was a perfect substitution.

I had to order another box of these when I realized I had eaten over half without sharing with my husband. Seriously good. Needs to come in a larger box!

Before I went off dairy and other such substances, I used to love mint chocolate treats - especially peppermint patties - so I was excited to try this mint cream truffle. My main disappointment was with the filling. It was thinner and there wasn't as much flavor as I was hoping for; tbh, I felt like I was eating loose goop rather than mint cream (and I've had my fair share of non-dairy creams). I could barely get through one, let alone the whole box. But my mom did like it, and she doesn't normally like mint-flavored chocolates. She said the filling was sweeter and silkier - qualities that she prefers, while I prefer more body and less sweet but stronger flavor.

Not necessarily the fault of No Whey!, but the product comes in a small package which then means it's placed inside a mailbox instead of left at the door of a shaded porch. Unfortunately, this meant the product essentially sat in an oven for several hours before we were able to retrieve it after work. Yes, despite the ice pack, it was completely melted and only salvageable enough to enjoy as a large chunk of melted mint and chocolate (not really a terrible thing, mind you). However, it still tasted great. It was just a bit disappointing to not enjoy it as it was intended. We would still order but hope that this review helps No Whey! consider other packaging or labeling options to dissuade post carriers from depositing chocolate in a mailbox on a hot day.
