No Tricks Caramel Cookie Bars (2 Units per Pack)

Upon first bite, it's not very similar to a Twix because the chocolate is firmer. However! I think it's better than a Twix. It's thicker and there's more of everything.

I wanted so badly to love this, but unfortunately it’s almost sickeningly too sweet - it’s very very rich. The chocolate outer layer is very thick, adding to that richness, and the cookie layer was also extremely on the sweet side. We still like it, but it’s just even too sweet for my family and I, and we even have a sweet tooth! I love most of the products that No Whey foods put out, but this one is not a favorite. I kind of wish I hadn’t bought so much on impulse prior to actually trying it.

I bought a bunch of these because I was so excited about them, but they need some work still. I agree with others’ comments. The chocolate is too thick and it’s too sweet. The cookie part should be tougher. It just crumbles so doesn’t add texture. Hate to write a negative review because I want to see more stuff like this, but hope it means it will get revised!

Tastes good but the chocolate to cookie ratio is unbalanced, there should be more cookie in the bar. Also the cookie being crunched up vs one piece is a little awkward.

The chocolate is very thick so that is really all you taste, which is disappointing.

Twix were one of my favorite candy bars before going vegan about 6 years ago, and I've missed them. These taste so much like them! I'd actually say they taste better. Definitely recommend if you need a dairy-free Twix fix!

Twix was my favorite candy bar as a kid, and I haven’t had one in 7 or 8 years. I was excited to try a vegan version. I have never tried to diy it. I was really disappointed. These are twice as expensive as a Twix bar. They are larger but they are just way overly sweet. The cookie bar doesn’t have any flavor and barely provided any texture because it is so small. The caramel is a good texture, and there is a good amount. Overall I don’t think it’s a very balanced flavor. I think the outer layer of chocolate is just too thick, and the chocolate itself is not that good. It doesn’t taste like chocolate or milk chocolate at all. It is just meh. My husband loves caramel, and he said he likes them at least.

When I took my first bite, I couldn’t believe how good they were!! I am always on the lookout for gluten and dairy free chocolate. To find this was beyond my wildest dreams!! Try them, you don’t be disappointed but make sure you buy more than one pack!
